CIUDAD DE MÉXICO, febrero 13 (Quadratín México).- La Sociedad Americana de Cinematógrafos (ASC) otorgó su XXVI premio al fotógrafo mexicano, Emmanuel Lubezki –también nominado al Oscar–, por su trabajo en El árbol de la vida (The Tree of life).

De acuerdo con Hollywood Reporter, el cineasta está muy agradecido y orgulloso de recibir la distinción. El mexicano fue nominado junto a otros como Guillaume Schiffman por The Artist, Jeff Cronenweth por The Girl with the Dragon Tatto, Robert Richardson por Hugo y Hoyte van Hoytema por Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

Lubezki ya había recibido este premio en 2007 por su labor en Children of Men  y podría ganar el Oscar a Mejor Fotografía, también por El árbol de la vida.
